GETTING TO KNOW THE NEW PROMOTERS…

Starting with the June 2010 show, Kay and Bill Puchstein will be in charge of promoting one of Americas’ finest and longest running Antique Shows. The Great Geauga County Antique Show was started way back in 1959 and has run annually since. Roma and Dick Taylor took over promoting the show in 1973 and for the last 36 years, the Taylor family has always managed the show with integrity, professionalism, and perseverance to keep the show antique oriented.

A short biography on Kay and Bill Puchstein…

Kay and Bill were both born and still live in central Ohio. Bill, an Ohio State University graduate, has been and still is setting up as a dealer for the last 30 years at many of the higher end shows in the country including the York Antiques Show, the Farmington Ct. Show, Nashville, the Zoar Show, Round Top Texas, the Crutcher show in Indianapolis, the Ann Arbor Antiques Show, and of course, the Burton Antiques Show. Kay has bought and sold antiques since she was 13 years old. Starting at the Washington Court House, Ohio monthly show (which eventually moved and became the monthly Springfield Ohio Antique Show) and then managing the Scott Antiques Market both in Atlanta and Columbus, Kay has been around antiques most of her life. She has run over 300 shows in her career including shows in Ohio, Tennessee, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Georgia, and Texas.

Currently, Kay and Bill own and manage 5 shows with 17 dates each winter in Florida. One of the shows, the West Palm Beach Antiques Festival, is Florida’s largest monthly show and is held 8 times a year, the first weekend of each month, from November through June. Our #1 goal is to help you get your merchandise sold and #2 goal is to get more qualified buyers attending. By turning the Great Geauga Antiques Market from a locally known event into a nationally known event, this can happen. By using our extensive geographical cross-marketing experience, a much more local and national advertising campaign, and thousands of contacts by direct mail and email, the word will go out to the entire Antique Industry about this great show.

A few changes for the upcoming 2010 shows are…

To make the transition easier for everyone, Dick Taylor has promised he will stay on with us and help us run the show for years to come. We would love to meet each and every one of you at this show. We will continue to run the Burton Antiques Market with the same integrity and enthusiasm that the Taylor Family has shown over the years. We are eagerly looking forward to this wonderful opportunity to being part of one of this country’s finest shows.

Sincerely,

Kay and Bill Puchstein
